A while back the development staff on FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 mentioned that fans might want to hold onto their save files from the previous game.
That statement was further reinforced today (contrary to previous reports) by producer Yoshinori Kitase, speaking in an interview with Xbox Japan.
Kitase confirmed that those who have a save file from FINAL FANTASY XIII will be able to receive some sort of bonus item for the sequel. He wouldn’t say exactly what, but stressed that the item will provide a slight bonus, although not anything earth-shattering enough to effect the game’s balance.
With the game just over a month from its Japanese release, we’re more than likely to find out sooner, rather than later.
