Square Enix trademarks Final Fantasy Agito in Europe

The possibility of Final Fantasy Agito seeing an overseas release just got a little higher – Square Enix has filed a trademark over in Europe, complete with a localized logo.

The listing was filed on September 12th and remains under examination. No such submission was made to the United States trademark as of yet, so either Square Enix is protecting the name and logo or they just haven’t gotten around to getting it done over the pond just yet.

Agito Trademark

While the trademark doesn’t necessarily guarantee a localization of any kind, Square Enix has typically brought over most of their mobile offerings with a few exceptions. Although, if they do localize Agito without paying attention to Type-0 proper, one might have to wonder what sort of priorities do lie within the company in this day and age. You’d think by now they would have commissioned a HD port or even released it as is digitally as many companies are continuing to do with PSP titles instead of stringing it along for two years and counting. Either way, the incoming anger is probably completely justified.
