Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII tops 400K in Japan during 2013

Lightning Returns has crossed the 400K sales mark in Japan through the end of 2013, Famitsu reports. The PS3 version of the game – which sold through 404,147 physical copies from November 21st through December 29th – was the only version to make Famitsu’s top 100 software sales list at #17. Consolidated sales for the Xbox 360 version of the game remain unknown as of this posting.

Other Final Fantasy sales for the year that made the list include Final Fantasy XIV at 244,574 (PS3), Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster (PS3) at 182,638, and Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster Twin Pack (Vita) at 134,645. Final Fantasy XIV went on sale on August 26th while Final Fantasy X|X-2 represents only three days on sale.
