Square Enix announces a handful of Final Fantasy smartphone titles for 2015

Square Enix has revealed their Final Fantasy smartphone ambitions with a trio of new titles announced at a media presentation in Japan yesterday. First on the list is Final Fantasy Legends: The Space-Time Crystal, which is a follow-up of sorts to Final Fantasy Legends (Final Fantasy Dimensions) featuring new characters Tomo and Emo from two different time periods who travel across history to save the world. The game’s character design and art is being worked on by CyDesignation.

Square Enix also announced Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, an alim developed title set to be a “full-focused” RPG experience meant to evoke a Final Fantasy feeling rather than just simply being a Brave Frontier clone with a FF face. As a free-to-play freemium title, Brave Exvius will allow players to unlock various Final Fantasy characters to fight in battle.

The third and final reveal is a new Final Fantasy Portal App meant to carry the latest information on FF updates and merchandise. You’ll also be able to play Final Fantasy VIII’s Triple Triad mini-game through the service – a game that will also soon be apart of Final Fantasy XIV’s own version of the Gold Saucer when it launches next year. The Portal App will be completely free, including Triple Triad.

We’ve included some of the first screenshots and artworks for these title below. You can also visit the official teaser portals by clicking here.
