Details on the towns and fields of Dragon Quest Heroes II

Square Enix has unveiled brand new information on its upcoming action RPG, Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End, showing off new details and in-game screenshots of the game’s vast fields and the castle town of Zebion.

The Towns and Fields

Dragon Quest Heroes II allows players to take control a roster of unique characters as they fight through an incredible war. The town of Zebion will act as the player’s base of operation to prepare for your adventure, venture and discover various fields and dungeons, as well as battling against fearsome enemies.

DQH2 Town 1

Interact with the townspeople, acquire information and plan your next objective. Utilize the number of facilities Zebion has to offer, including equipment and organizational establishment, to prepare for your adventure.

DQH2 Fields 1

Explore the expansive fields and take a detour into the dungeons while on your way to your destination point. It’s also imperative to collect items and vanquish enemies to build up experience points.

DQH2 Desert 1

Sometimes, strong enemies await at your destination point. Defeat them and complete the objective at hand to progress further into the story.

The Facilities of Zebion

DQH2 Town 2

Your base of operations lies within the suzerain state of Zebion, which rules all seven countries of Dragon Quest Heroes II. Make full use of its various facilities before venturing out into the fields and dungeons. The facilities of Zebion include:

  • Church
  • Weapons shop
  • Armor-selling orb shop
  • Accessory-strengthening alchemy pot

Utilize the other familiar facilities that awaits you, as well as special facilities where curious characters appear.

DQH2 Bar 1

Manage your party at Luida’s Bar. As you progress through the story, you will gain new companions, whom you can switch in and out of your party to control and fight alongside with.

DQH2 Inn 1

Rikka’s Inn will function as the multiplayer reception desk. What kind of companions will you meet and what kind of battles await?

The Vast Fields

Outside of the castle town are openly fields filled to the brim from grasslands to deserts and more for players to freely travel in between. Monsters occupy these fields, which will become the stage of fierce battles. Players will also be able to find treasure chests and items, as well as dungeon entrances, so be sure to explore every corner and section of the game’s world map.

DQH2 Fields 2

The area around Orenka is filled with lushy green grasslands. The monsters that appear here are weak compared to the other monsters you’ll face, including slimes and slime knights.

DQH2 Desert 2

The area around the protagonists’ home country, Gywall, is a desert. Even with its hot and dry environment, a number of monsters inhabit it.

DQH2 Waystone 1

As players advance through the story, you’ll unlock Waystones, which will act as a fast travel mechanic to move instantly between locations.

DQH2 SHINY SPOT 1

When examining shining spots, you can obtain a variety of items. From time to time, treasure chests and pots will also be placed.

Dragon Quest Heroes II will appear on store shelves in Japan on May 27, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
