Square Enix has released a new trailer for Dragon Quest Heroes II, along with new details covering the game’s full Japanese voice cast.

In addition to returning characters such as Alena, Terry, Jessica and Kiryl – Dragon Quest Heroes II features several original characters as well as new Dragon Quest series mainstays.

Original Characters

  • Razel (Mirai Moriyama)
  • Tereshia (Emi Takei)
  • Cesare (Takayuki Yamada)
  • Orneze (Nana Mizuki)

New Dragon Quest Characters

  • Meena (Yoko Hisa)
  • Torneko (Chafurin)
  • Carver (Hiroki Yasumoto)
  • Gabo (Mutsumi Tamura)
  • Maribel (Aoi Yuki)
  • Angelo (Yoshimasa Hosoya)

Several gameplay features were revealed as well – including the return of the Monster Coin system from the first game – allowing players to transform into the monsters they collect – and a new multi-player battle mode coming in a free update. Square Enix also revealed boss characters Dragonlord and Estark will be available as free DLC.

Dragon Quest Heroes: The Live!

Dragon Quest Heroes II is set to launch in Japan on May 27th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary.
