Final Fantasy Trading Card Game heads to North America

Following announcements for Europe, North American fans are the next in line to see an official release of the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game. This physical card game has been available in Japan for six years now and has birthed 15 expansions, 3.5 million booster packs sold and includes over 2,000 different cards to date.

The first set to be launched, simply titled “Opus 1”, will feature 216 cards with designs from Final Fantasy mainstays including Tetsuya Nomura, Yoshitaka Amano and Akihiko Yoshida. Players can also get their hands on new cards themed after upcoming titles such as World of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Dissidia as part of this release. Additionally, every card included in Opus 1 will have a premium foil version to encourage collectors.
