Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood screenshots from the teaser trailer By Erren Van Duine on October 20, 2016 at 7:49 PM

Did you hear the news? Final Fantasy XIV is preparing for its next expansion and it’s going to be a big one. Details were shared last week during the opening hours of Fan Festival in Las Vegas where producer/director Naoki Yoshida took the stage to talk all things Stormblood – the next chapter in the on-going game.

Along with fresh details, fans were treated to a brief trailer (the full thing’s coming later, they promise) featuring a new character, new location and new developments for our Warrior of Light.

In the days following, Square Enix has gone up with some fresh screenshots showcasing scenes from the trailer in full CG detail.

More information on Stormblood will be shared at the Tokyo Fan Festival on December 24-25, 2016, as well as during the European Fan Festival in Frankfurt, set for for February 18-19, 2017. Stormblood itself is due out Summer 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PC.

Nothing. You obviously don’t watch Doctor Who.

No, I heard of it, but I think that’s more English show than American.

    LOL the shade!

  • Strabos2333

You’d be hard pressed to find anything more British than Doctor Who lol.

  • Jesus Christ

    What’s so good about it?

  • Strabos2333

Probably…its sense of imagination and adventure. When you watch a sci-fi show, you’re gonna have some episodes that stand out because you just had fun watching them. Doctor Who practically specializes in that – it tones down on the melodrama and overly long story arcs, and just has as much fun as possible with each episode. Sometimes that translates to genuinely gripping sci-fi like the Satan Pit storyline, sometimes it’s plain goofy shit like the episode with K-9.

It probably helps that they rotate actors regularly. When things start to feel like they’re getting a little stale, they’ll give you a brand new incarnation of the Doctor with a wholly different personality (War Vet > Nutter > Nerdy Professor > Aging Punk Rocker) and a new companion.
