Square Enix is bringing along a few special guests to the next European Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Frankfurt, Germany, which’ll take place on February 18-19, 2017.
You’ll see translation director and English localization director Michael-Christopher Koji Fox interpret the Japanese staff at the various streamed panels, lead character artist Yusuke Mogi will be working on a new artwork live on the show floor, and a special stage event with Toshiyuki Itahana will show you how to draw an iconic Final Fantasy character. You may remember Itahana’s designs from Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and Mobius Final Fantasy.
To tune in from home, you’ll need to purchase the Fan Festival stream, just like the Las Vegas one earlier this year. Before we jump too far ahead, note that the Japanese Fan Festival will be airing this weekend from Tokyo, Japan — you can catch the schedule and stream purchasing instructions here. We’ll be expecting more juicy details about the upcoming Stormblood expansion, as well as Patch 3.5: The Far Edge of Fate.
