A new look at Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age from Taipei Game Show

Square Enix showed off a bit of new gameplay for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age at Taipei Game Show, taking place over this weekend. During a stage event, Final Fantasy brand boss Shinji Hashimoto and producer Hiroaki Kato were on hand to demonstrate the ins and outs of the company’s latest HD effort.

Footage captured from the show gives us a look at the game’s battle systems, a boss fight, exploration and other Zodiac Age-exclusive features such as the added turbo mode. This HD re-release will come packed with updated character models, textures and menus for the modern era. Additionally, higher quality audio will be included along with the option to change between Japanese and English voice acting.

Final Fantasy XII‘s soundtrack has also been remastered with its new version available alongside the original in the menu.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is due out for PlayStation 4 in 2017. Square Enix has yet to announce a final release date.
