Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age “Spring 2017” trailer By Erren Van Duine on April 25, 2017 at 10:08 PM

Square Enix has uploaded a new trailer featuring Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. Due out on July 11 in North America, the high-definition release features several modern enhancements along with Western fan’s first look at the Zodiac Job system.

The PlayStation 4 remaster is based on Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System and features the usual tricks to expect from a HD revamp. These include higher resolution character models, cut-scenes and backgrounds plus higher-quality audio from what was found on the PlayStation 2 version in 2006.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is set to release for PlayStation 4 on July 11 in North America and July 13 in Europe.

Awesome. It’ll be my first time playing FF12 when the remaster comes out. I’m looking forward to it.

  • Thom Kristiansen

This has 100 times more depth than FF15 and 13, combined.

I certainly hope the people behind 9 and 12 are making 16 as we speak.

FFXI should be in ivalice, no openworld just massive section by section with substance. unlike bland openworld boring environment in recent entry. i miss FFXII good old times square good ol time.. and make Akihiko Yoshida the main artist BTW. get it gud..

  • Wazi the pa

Ahhhh, the second half of that trailer was awesome. I can’t wait to give the Zodiac Job System a whirl.

  • I want more Ivalice stuff but not in a tactics form. I want them to make 16 an Ivalice game and back it be a few years after 12.

  • Randy Marsh

Like fine wine, Hiroyuki Ito games just get better as more time passes by. I pray for his return swift and soon so he can direct FFXVI.

  • Lord Shiru

    Awesome !!
I already planned some interesting combos for the dual job system :

Vaan : Monk + Machinist (hard to pick someone else for this job…)
Ashe : Samurai + Red Mage
    Basch : Knight (I can’t picture Basch without a sword !) + Archer

Balthier : Hunter + White Mage
Fran : Breaker + Time Mage
Penelo : Ulhan + Black Mage

I think that my setup will be pretty solid for the game ;-).

  • Wazi the pa

I always thought of Balthier to be kind to take on the Samurai class. You have a great sounding setup though.

  • Lord Shiru

    Thank you !
Yeah Balthier could be interesting as a samurai (design-wise for sure) !
I use this guide to choose the right jobs for the characters :

It’s ironic to see that Balthier isn’t suited for the Machinist job and Fran for Archer lol.

  • I prefer the idea of each game in the series having no ties to any other
games (a norm that was broken with FINAL FANTASY X-2), I fell like if a
story in respect to the happenings in Ivalice is going to be told then I
think that is should take on a different title or be pegged to a title
    related to it.

  • Pleasance13

Voices still sound a little tin can-y (especially Ashe), but a definite improvement.

  • Vallen

Wow, hearing it again now, the voices are so good. Great VA work

  • Yuntu

Balthier as a White Mage is the best thing ever. He looks great with a staff.
