A new, free update coming to Final Fantasy XV this December will be the ability to swap to any of the four main characters and directly play as them. In the video below, you can see that Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignis play with styles introduced in their respective DLC episodes.

As far as future updates to the game, director Hajime Tabata shared recently that new content will come throughout 2018, including an Episode Ardyn that will further explore the character.
