Final Fantasy XV content update roadmap extends to 2019

In an interview with Dengeki Online, director Hajime Tabata and game designer Takefumi Terada have revealed that Final Fantasy XV’s roadmap of DLC episodes will extend up until at least 2019.

The two began discussing with the present three-episode plan for the whole of 2018, starting with the already announced Episode Ardyn. Following this, Tabata mentioned that while working on them, he realized the team wanted to produce more content for the game, prompting the planning and addition for a fourth episode.

In other words, this means that up to four DLC episodes will release between the remainder of 2018 and 2019. Additional content beyond or in between that timeframe has yet to be decided.

Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition is set to release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 6, with the Windows Edition also releasing on the same day for PC.
