Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV and Capcom’s Monster Hunter World will be collaborating this summer where the games will be trade two legendary foes. In Monster Hunter World, you’ll be able to take on a quest to challenge Final Fantasy XIV’s Behemoth in a free update on August 1st. Capcom recently showed off this fight on a livestream in which Final Fantasy XIV producer/director Naoki Yoshida took part. Defeating the Behemoth will earn you parts to forge into armor fashioned after the Dragoon’s “Drachen” set.
In Final Fantasy XIV, Monster Hunter World’s Rathalos will descend upon the Azim Steppe. We know that the encounter will require eight Level 70 players as well as the Stormblood expansion. More details will likely come tomorrow during the 45th Letter from the Producer Live broadcast where we are also expecting the reveal of Stormblood’s fourth major post-release content patch. It will air Monday, July 16, 2018 at 2:00am Pacific Daylight Time.
