Utada Hikaru and Skrillex collaborate for Kingdom Hearts III opening theme

Announced on the official twitter account for Kingdom Hearts, Utada Hikaru and Skrillex have revealed that Kingdom Hearts III will have an entirely new theme song for the game’s opening cinematic.

According to Square Enix, Skrillex, a long time fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, had originally intended to remix the previously revealed Utada Hikaru track, Don’t Think Twice. However, due to the pair’s friendship, a new and original song had been created for the opening theme, titled: Face My Fears.

Producing the theme is the acclaimed record producer Poo Bear, who had previously produced Justin Bieber’s multi-platinum selling single, What Do You Mean?

Face My Fears is scheduled for release alongside Don’t Think Twice on January 18th, 2019.

Kingdom Hearts III is scheduled to release in Japan on January 25, 2019 and in North America and Europe on January 29, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
