Classic Dragon Quest titles are coming to Nintendo Switch

Square Enix announced that the first three games in the Dragon Quest franchise are scheduled to release on September 27, 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. The entire trilogy will be made available individually on the Nintendo eShop at differing prices, with Dragon Quest set at $4.99 USD, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line at $6.49 USD and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation at $12.49 USD.

In Dragon Quest, players will begin their adventure to defeat the Dragonlord and save the realm of Alefgard as the “Hero,” a descendant of the legendary hero Erdrick. In Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, a century has passed since the first game and the young prince of Midenhall sets forth on a quest to find the other two descendants of Erdrick so that they can defeat the nefarious High Priest Hargon. And in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation, players will traverse the lands of Aliahan, where a young hero has been charged with an impossible task of slaying Archfiend Baramos, the master of darkness.
