New Outriders trailer revealed and Gameplay Livestream event announced

Square Enix has released a brand-new trailer for their upcoming co-op RPG shooter game Outriders; a collaborative title from People Can Fly (Gears of War: Judgement, Bulletstorm) and Square Enix External Studios (Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause). Although previously announced to have a Summer 2020 release date, the trailer reveals that the date for Outriders has been pushed back to the Holiday Season of 2020.

Outriders is an RPG shooter title set in an original, dark sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and set out on a journey across a hostile planet. You’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and travel through forests and cross mountains and deserts; all in pursuit of a mysterious signal. Outriders combines intense gunplay with unique and violent powers, and will provide the player with an arsenal of weapons and gear-sets.

“It’s incredibly exciting to finally reveal what we have been working on for the last four years,” said Bartek Kmita, Game Director at People Can Fly. “Outriders is our first game since leaving Epic Games, and has grown from an idea of the game we always wanted to make, to the most ambitious project People Can Fly has ever undertaken.”

Additionally, Square Enix has announced a world premiere livestream event that will focus on the gameplay elements of Outriders. The event will feature Game Director Bartek Kmita, Lead Writer Joshua Rubin and stream host Malik Forte. The stream is scheduled to go live Thursday, February 13th at 12:00pm PST on the official Square Enix Twitch Channel.

Outriders is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, the Xbox One family, and PC during the Holiday Season of 2020.
