Square Enix provides update on Final Fantasy VII Remake shipping challenges

An update posted on the official Final Fantasy VII Remake twitter shares that Square Enix will ship copies to Europe and Australia “earlier that usual” given the challenges due to the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic. Square Enix will also begin shipping in the Americas this week.

Potentially, some may receive the game before the April 10th launch date. Producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Tetsuya Nomura ask fans to avoid sharing spoilers should you receive the game early.

“All our fans and players deserve to experience the game for themselves, and we ask for the support of our dedicated community to ensure that.”

Those who pre-order digitally through the PlayStation Store will be able to start pre-loading the 100+ GB game on April 7th. Recently, Sony shared that they will be limiting download speeds on the network so that they can preserve access.

Final Fantasy VII Remake launches April 10th on PlayStation 4.
