Final Fantasy XV’s entire main party will be playable soon in the main game, Episode Ardyn announced
During the Active Time Report broadcast for Final Fantasy XV, Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Manager Akio Otsuka provided more information on the future of the game. Final Fantasy XV Comrades will be receiving a new patch on December 12. Patch 1.1.0 will be dedicated to fixing bugs in this multiplayer expansion, such as the inability to level up in some cases, problems with multiple quests, instances in which enemies don’t appear, issues that make progression impossible and more. New content that will be introduced through the patch will include Time Limited Quests which involves quickly matching players together to defeat waves of enemies within a certain time limit. After this segment, Episode Ignis Director Takeshi Terada provided an update on the upcoming DLC which included a look at the opening scene of the DLC. Episode Ignis was mentioned to have twice as many story cutscenes as Episode Prompto and boasts multiple endings. The multiple endings will be additive to the ending of the main game, basically not necessarily affecting the actual ending. Shinji Hashimoto says 2018 will be a big year for Final Fantasy with new titles in development
It's the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy and we've experienced some of its celebration with the releases of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, and more spinoffs. In an exclusive interview with EDAMAME Arcade Channel, Final Fantasy brand manager Shinji Hashimoto has teased that the celebration will extend in 2018, with Square Enix teams working hard on new Final Fantasy titles. Here is the launch trailer for Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster
With the nearing release of Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster, Square Enix has gone ahead and shared the official launch trailer. As the name states, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International will receive a 4K upgrade along with keyboard control support on the PC. The original International release also included balance & UI tweaks as well as dual audio support over the Xbox 360 version. On PlayStation, those who purchase before January 8 will receive an exclusive PS4 system theme and 12 PSN avatars featuring the main characters.
Square Enix plans to announce major titles from the end of 2017 until E3 2018
Square Enix has released its financial results for the first half of the fiscal year, which ends in March 31 next year, and they have revealed the company's current progress and plans in the near future. The following titles helped the company achieve growth in both sales and income for this fiscal year period: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood and merchandise Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age NieR: Automata (topped 2 million units since its launch in February) Rise of the Tomb Raider Just Cause 3 Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Many overseas titles are apparently slated for release throughout April 2018 and beyond. Dragon Quest X, the series' own MMORPG, will also be receiving an expansion pack in the near future. In the most interesting part of the report, Square Enix was questioned on the balance of the content production being larger now compared to the previous period, in which they report is a result of the currently ongoing development efforts of major titles within their overseas and domestic studios. Nobuo Uematsu and Emiko Suzuki talks about their music for Final Fantasy XV: Comrades
In the upcoming Final Fantasy XV: Comrades which will be released tomorrow, the series' legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu will be making music for it, containing vocals from Japanese singer Emiko Suzuki. Square Enix has announced that the pre-order for NieR: Automata's Bring Arts figures of 2B and a machine lifeform set is now open through the Square Enix Online store. They look pretty great in detail, and they'll be discounted for 10% until November 19.
Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One X enhancements are now available
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced that enhancements for Rise of the Tomb Raider are now available for Xbox One X in conjunction with the new console's launch. Final Fantasy XV: Comrades will release on November 15
Final Fantasy XV's multiplayer expansion, Comrades, has finally updated its release date. This extended experience will be available for download on November 15, as reported by Famitsu. It was originally slated for release on October 31 but was delayed in order to "create the best experience possible".
