Here's some PS4 Final Fantasy X HD Footage

Square Enix is unleashing Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster for PlayStation 4 this week, and we’ve captured a little bit of footage from the new PS4 version of the former game just to give an idea of how it performs.

The truth of the matter is it’s largely the same, with similar (but allegedly slightly tweaked) character models and textures around the world of Spira, while the menus look as snazzy and as smooth as they did in the PlayStation 3 release. Even the save transfer system, shown in the video, remains intact.

New to this release is a switcher between the original soundtrack the arranged soundtrack the original remastered release featured – so if you didn’t find that to your tastes you can now enjoy Uematsu’s original arrangements from the PS2. There’s of course a natural advantage in playing the game with the PS4’s more universal operating system behind the scenes too.

Check out the video below and our original review of the PS3 and Vita versions through this link. It’s out this week, and is available now via Amazon in both Limited and Regular Editions.
