Five years since its unbelievable reveal, we can say with delight that Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available worldwide for PlayStation 4.
The game is set within the industrial city of Midgar, owned and run by a suspicious corporation known as the Shinra Electric Power Company. Using their methods of siphoning the planet’s life force, they are able to power their city, but at a terrible cost. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite military unit now turned mercenary, is hired by an underground resistance group to fight against Shinra’s oppressive force.
To commemorate the game’s long-awaited release, Square Enix has shared a video featuring a special message to fans from producer Yoshinori Kitase.
