SINoALICE, a dark fantasy adventure RPG written by NieR’s very own Yoko Taro, has surpassed 1.5 million pre-registered users on Google Play, and has begun accepting pre-registrations on the App Store. Set to release on July 1st, 2020, players interested in this unique title featuring familiar storybook characters can now pre-register on both iOS and Android devices, and access the game when it officially launches this summer.
Initially released in Japan back in 2017 as a joint effort between Square Enix and Pokelabo, SINoALICE takes place in the “Library,” a space ruled by stories and words, and where multiple storybook characters all share the same single desire: To revive their fallen Author. However, in order for their wish to come true, they must face every other storybook character in a bloody battle to the death.
This RPG features both Auto Mode gameplay, in which characters will attack automatically, and real-time Co-Op Battles, allowing players face dangerous foes with their friends, and permit them to advance through the story to meet other characters. Players can also form alliances to take on enemies, take part in Guild VS Guild combat with up to 30 participants, and allows for players to communicate through original stickers and text.
SINoALICE’s story is helmed by Yoko Taro, with composer Keiichi Okabe/MONACA creating the game’s soundtrack and Illustrator Jino providing the unique character designs. The game also features the voices of MAO as Alice, Reina Ueda as Snow White, Ayaka Imamura as Little Red Riding Hood, Eri Kitamura as Cinderella and more.
Additionally, in celebration for surpassing 1,500,000 pre-registrations on Google Play, all users of the global version of SINoALICE will receive one upgrade kit, which will contain 5 Upgrade Swords, 5 Upgrade Shields, and 5 Upgrade tablets for players to utilize.
