NieR Re[in]carnation, a new free-to-play smartphone RPG, is set to release on July 28th for iOS and Android devices. Set in NieR universe, the game reunites YOKOTARO as creative director, Yosuke Saito as producer, and Keiichi Okabe as composer. To mark the launch of the English and Korean versions, Square Enix will also kick off service with a limited time NieR Automata collaboration event.

Additionally, a pre-registration drive is underway, whereupon 600,000 registrations will reward players with 4500 gems and material packs in-game. Do note that this game includes microtransactions as a part of its business model.

Set in a mysterious tower called “The Cage” you assume the role of a young girl dressed in white. It’s here she befriends Mama, a being resembling a ghost, who guides the girl through the Cage and on a path to redemption for past misdeeds.
