The DioField Chronicle launches September 22 By Erren Van Duine on July 6, 2022 at 1:16 PM

The DioField Chronicle is set to release on September 22, according to a listing on Square Enix’s online store. This news follows up an earlier Japanese post that listed the launch date for the same day across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. In Japan, a demo for the game will be available starting August 10.

While it’s currently unknown if said demo will be available overseas, the store listing notes The DioField Chronicle offers up a new strategic battle system called “Real Time Tactical Battle (RTTB). This will be the main point of gameplay throughout the game’s “gritty story”.

Those who pre-order the game will gain access to the weapon Rhopasto Knife (Standard Edition Early Purchase Exclusive Color) and a Recruit’s Bangle accessory. These items will be unobtainable in the game proper, but will be received during Chapter 1 Episode 2 of the main story. Additionally, those who purchase the PS4 version can upgrade to PS5 at no additional cost.
