Square Enix Merchandise Interview mit Hirokuni Matsuyama (German)
This is the German version of the interview. For the English article, please read here.

GC 2015: Final Fantasy XIV interview with Naoki Yoshida
Since its launch back in June, the first expansion for Final Fantasy XIV - titled Heavensward - has been largely a success following up on A Realm Reborn's reboot of the game back in 2013. Square Enix has put together a package with great features including the ability to use flying mounts, a new playable race and three entirely new jobs as players experience the main scenario in Ishgard where the war between man and dragon wages on. The new main scenario in Heavenward has captivated both fans of Final Fantasy and MMOs alike - though the expansion is not without its criticisms. Tasks such as side quests and FATEs still can't compete in quality with the main story. At Gamescom 2015 we spoke with Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida about the concept behind the story, planned improvements to the side quests and the Gold Saucer, a well-deserved vacation, the first hints about patch 3.1, and even a bit on the game's next expansion. Nova Crystallis:  Many have praised Heavensward's main scenario for feeling like a Final Fantasy type of story - did you draw inspiration from earlier titles in the series with regards to how to approach the story? Naoki Yoshida: We haven’t used

GC 2015: Hitman interview with Hannes Seifert
At this year's E3 Io-Interactive surprised the fans with a new Hitman game, which is simply called Hitman. It takes us back to the roots and throws most of the supernatural Instinct mode of its prequel over board. The anti-hero Agent 47 is at the climax of his career and eliminates targets for The Agency around the world. The developers plan to break some new ground with a brand new publishing model: The game will launch on December 8th digitally on PC, Xbox One and PS4, but will not be complete in terms of content. Io-Interactive wants direct feedback and plans to work together with the community to add more levels and features to the game after launch before a physical edition will hit store shelves. The studio will not only use the online connectivity of PC and consoles for feedback since new live events take place from time to time and a target killed once may never return. The famous asynchronous Contracts multiplayer mode will also return with new exciting features. During our exclusive interview with Hannes Seifert, Studio Head of Io-Interactive, we took a closer look at what fans can expect from

GC 2015: Hitman Interview mit Hannes Seifert (German)
This is the German version of our interview, read the English version here.

GC 2015: Niels Bye Nielsen to compose next Hitman game soundtrack
The next iteration of the series is just called "Hitman" and while it respects its roots, it also breaks new ground in terms of graphics, business model and non-linear gameplay. For many years, BAFTA award winner Jesper Kyd accompanied the Hitman series with his soundtrack compositions. Then, suddenly, Kyd was replaced for Hitman: Absolution by Thomas Bärtschi with additional music written by Peter Kyed, Peter Peter and Dynamedion. At Gamescom 2015, Hannes Seifert, Studio Head of Io-Interactive revealed Niels Bye Nielsen as the new composer for the next Hitman game in an exclusive interview with Nova Crystallis. https://youtu.be/5yktoernWtw Hannes Seifert about the new composer: "We did test recordings with several composers, but in the end we decided for Niels Bye Nielsen, a Danish composer, who comes from a very experimental scene, just like Jesper Kyd. He is very creative and that supports the new sound of our game very well. " According to his IMDb entry, Niels Bye Nielsen was born 1972 in Skive, Denmark. In 1994, he moved to Hollywood, California to study guitar at MIT. He also studied music at UCLA and has his own studio in Santa Monica. Video games are not new to him, since he worked on additional music for several Ratchet & Clank games and composed the the soundtracks

GC 2015: New Hitman screenshots show Agent 47 at work
Square Enix released four new Hitman screenshots, showing Agent 47 at a nice sniper hideout, "watching" other people having accidents on rooftops and checking out French bouncers. The shots seem to be taken from the Paris level at Gamescom, where the bald assassin has to take care of spy ring leader Viktor Novikov. Look forward to our preview and interview about Hitman in the following days, including an exclusive news announcement.
