Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy XV, teased a new game play experience coming to FFXV in this month's issue of Gameinformer, something else that would be coming alongside new story content.
"There is also one other thing - a completely new gameplay experience I want to provide to players of XV as well." He told Gameinformer. "I can't tell you what that is yet, though. We're currently thrashing through the plans for that and getting it into shape, so we can announce exactly what that is at the beginning of the year."
Tabata also clarified that he and his team want to release DLC that is closely linked to Final Fantasy XV's main story, and wants for it to have a strong influence "rather than something somewhat peripheral and unrelated." That sort've content is what they are looking into for future DLC.
The development team are also already planning how to bring Final Fantasy XV's journey to an official, and satisfying, close. According to Tabata, the adventure for FFXV began with the fans and he wants for it to end it that way as well.
