Square Enix trademarks “Ever Crisis” and “The First Soldier”
Square Enix filed for three trademarks: "Ever Crisis", "The First Soldier", and another for the ShinRa Electric Power Company logo according to a report from Gematsu. It's worth noting that "Ever Crisis" fits within the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" nomenclature, such as: "Advent Children", "Before Crisis", "Crisis Core", and "Dirge of Cerberus." Before Crisis was a Japan-exclusive mobile phone game that followed the Turks as they track Avalanche in the city of Midgar -- the events directly precede the original Final Fantasy VII. Crisis Core features Zack Fair, a Shinra SOLDIER that Cloud once knew, as he climbs the ranks and uncovers the sinister truths behind the company's endeavors. This game also takes place years before the original game. Advent Children takes place two years Final Fantasy VII, where a mysterious illness wracks the population that has survived Meteorfall, and mysterious Remnants seek to commence another "Reunion" of JENOVA's disparate parts. Dirge of Cerberus takes place last in the timeline, with ex-Turk Vincent Valentine on the trail of the shadowy Deepground para-military unit emerging from the wiped-out depths of Midgar. A bit of speculation: perhaps "Ever Crisis" will have a different scope than the other entries given its distinct title -- rather

Final Fantasy VII Remake’s second part is in full development
Final Fantasy VII Remake's second installment has entered full development, according to a staff interview published by Famitsu this week. The magazine spoke with several key members on the development team including director Tetsuya Nomura. Here's what he had to say when asked about the release timing for the next entry in the project: "We know that everyone wants the next installment quickly. We would also like to deliver it as soon as possible. Since we were also able to see the line of quality from the first installment, we hope to make the next installment even better in quality that can make for an even better experience. We would like to get it out as soon as possible, so please wait for it. I think we can clearly convey the direction when we officially announce the next installment." Producer Yoshinori Kitase notes, "The new story of Final Fantasy VII has only just begun." Other bits found in the 15 page spread note that (minor spoilers) the new character Roche was meant to appear at some point in chapter 14 to do battle. According to co-director Motomu Toriyama, this character has a high chance of reappearing in the next installment. Additionally, parts like the Madam

Adventures in Final Fantasy VII Remake’s hard mode
Caution: The following contains spoilers for Final Fantasy VII Remake. Once you complete Final Fantasy VII Remake, you get the option to skip around the game using a Chapter Select feature. You also unlock a new difficulty, "Hard," which prohibits the use of items in battle, and MP can only be restored by smashing crates, slowly regenerating it in battle by forgoing spells, or clearing the chapter you're on. Bosses also hit harder and more frequently, but the overall strategy isn't too dissimilar to Normal mode. However, you'll find yourself needing to prepare for various fights a bit more carefully. Luckily, if you've been using Assess in your first playthrough, it'll help you build a strategy ahead of time by carefully selecting your materia and equipment loadout. For bosses who have a vulnerability to one specific element, you can socket that corresponding materia while beefing up your party with HP Up, Parry, Steadfast Block, and so on. Also, having foreknowledge of how particular boss phases proceed helps too. Given that MP doesn't recover fully in any given chapter, you'll find yourself having to carefully consider when and where you use spells. Suddenly, busting out a Firaga spell against an enemy weak to fire magic seems

That’s the kind of story I wanted to
