New Final Fantasy Play Arts prototypes on display at Japan Expo

The latest tradeshow to play host to some of Square Enix’s new merchandise is Japan Expo – happening this weekend in Paris, France. Among the company’s quest for third party products is several first looks at some of the upcoming Final Fantasy figures, namely from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children as well as Final Fantasy XII.

Joining the lineup at some point in the future is a new version of Cloud, seen unpainted in the photos below. Barret Wallace is also getting the Play Arts Kai treatment, as well as Tifa in her garb from the film. A prototype for Fran from Final Fantasy XII is also on display, rounding out Square Enix’s decision to bring forth merchandise on some of the characters that received little spotlight in the past.

Pricing and dates have yet to be set, but the turn-around time from concept to finish product is never too far away if we consider past releases.
