Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia delayed to early 2017

Upcoming mobile title Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia has been delayed into 2017, Square Enix announced today. Originally scheduled for a 2016 release in Japan, the game will now launch early next year to ensure quality and bug fixes.

During a special live stream this morning, the company also confirmed the following characters to appear in the game:

  • Galuf Halm Baldesion (Final Fantasy V)
  • Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
  • Squall (Final Fantasy VIII)
  • Eiko (Final Fantasy IX)
  • Shantotto (Final Fantasy XI)
  • Vanille (Final Fantasy XIII)
  • Ace (Final Fantasy Type-0)

Additionally, an image shown during the event teases even more cast members including Faris (Final Fantasy V), Setzer (Final Fantasy VI), Prishe (Final Fantasy XI), Balthier (Final Fantasy XII), Snow (Final Fantasy XIII), Cloud of Darkness (Final Fantasy III), Tidus (Final Fantasy X), Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII) and Ramza (Final Fantasy Tactics).
