Hitman launch content rumors are false

During this week a rumor about the launch content for the next Hitman game arised, following information shared on the game’s Amazon.com product site.

Visitors could read the following sentence:

“Expanding World of Assassination: Travel around the globe in the seven all new missions in Season One.

After this rumor made the rounds, the sentence was removed from Amazon.com.

Could this rumor be true? For the first time ever, the next Hitman game will see a full price digital release on December 8th 2015 with a boxed version in 2016. Developer IO Interactive plans to add new content and features with the help of the community during the course of 2016, without extra or hidden charges.

Square Enix had been quite mum about the launch content of the game, which was supposed to be shared at a later date, shortly after Gamescom.

We reached out to Square Enix Germany today and got more clarification. Here is the comany’s answer:

“The information shared at Amazon.com was not correct. There will be more details about the exact content soon.”

PAX Prime sounds like a good opportunity, considering the live playthroughs and the art panel about Hitman, Square Enix already announced.
