World of Final Fantasy Maxima introduces new mirages, new boss battle

World of Final Fantasy Maxima is an upgraded version of the original 2016 RPG set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on November 6th. Already have the game? You’ll be able to purchase a separate “Maxima” upgrade DLC without having to re-buy the base game. Maxima includes more Mirages to collect, grow, and evolve as well as new Champions based on Final Fantasy series characters. There’s also an “Avatar Change” system in which you’ll be able to swap in a Champion for Reynn and Lann.

Today, Square Enix shows a look at new Mirages coming in Maxima that previously appeared in the World of Final Fantasy Meli-Melo smartphone title.

Mel, a S-size Mirage, can use “Thunderclap (霹靂)” which deals magic damage to the whole enemy party. Dramut, a S-size Mirage, can use a magic damage “Petit Flare” ability. Shiva-Ixion is a L-size Mirage and uses an ability called “Icicle Turn” which deals magic damage and can inflict enemies with the Slow status effect. Syldra, another L-size Mirage, can use “Mega Thunderstorm” to deal heavy magical damage to the enemy party.

At a certain point in your adventure, you’ll be able to challenge Enna Kros to a battle in the Nine Wood Hills coffee shop. She has very powerful techniques.
