Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age -Definitive Edition- follows 2018’s Dragon Quest XI with a slew of new features. Toggle between Japanese and English voice acting or arranged and orchestrated soundtracks. New character stories have been added, battles now have a speed boost option to move those menial battles along more quickly, and take pictures in a new photo mode. You can also play in 2D mode, which converts the game into a 16-bit experience from the Super Famicom days.

Today, Square Enix released a demo on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam. It’s quite meaty, featuring the first 10 hours of the game with the ability to carry progress over to the full game.
