Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song Remastered announced for Winter release

During the SaGa series broadcast today, Square Enix announced that a remaster of Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- will release this Winter for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS platforms. Released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2005, Minstrel Song is a remake of the original Romancing SaGa that released in 1992 for the SNES.

Featuring character design by lead artist Yusuke Naora, and soundtrack by Kenji Ito, the game features additional elements that were planned for the original SNES version but were scrapped at some point. Director Akitoshi Kawazu intended for it to be a compilation of ideas from the older titles and newer titles (at the time) like Unlimited SaGa.

It’s also important to note that Minstrel Song never released in Europe, so today’s announcement will mark an official release in the region after 17 years.
