Square Enix has shared a new, short look at the upcoming release of Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Offline, which is scheduled to release on September 15 in Japan for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Revealed at the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary broadcast, Dragon Quest X Offline is pretty much what it says it is – an offline version of the MMORPG that can be enjoyed solo. This version also features super-deformed characters in fields and battles are visualized in a more traditional turn-based fashion. While no international release for the Online version came to be, hopefully the Offline version will have a new opportunity to make its way to long-awaiting fans.
