Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered gets a gameplay trailer

Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered is an updated version of 2005’s Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song-, a PlayStation remake of the original Romancing SaGa on the Super Famicom from 1992. The remake incorporated a 3D interpretation, including a new art style and character design by Yusuke Naora, along with new music from series composer Kenji Ito.

Praised for its freeform scenario, combat where characters can string together combos and learn new techniques mid-fight, and somewhat esoteric yet alluring mechanics, the Remastered version provides an update for the HD era of games.

It also provides a speed boost feature that will double, even triple the gameplay speed in the field, during battle, or for event cutscenes. The UI has also gone through revision for a higher resolution display and a mini-map has been added. A Quick Save and auto-run feature have also been added. A ‘Library’ has been added to listen to the game’s music and browse the game’s artwork and credits.

New Game Plus has been added where you can select from a list what properties to carry over, and “Ultimate Difficulty” boss battles have been added. New playable characters Sheila, Monika, Marina, Flammar, and Aldora will also be available. A new event will highlight the hero Mirsa’s journey from Aldora’s perspective.

Romancing Saga -Minstrel Song- Remastered will release on December 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and mobile platforms.
