Accompanying the launch of Valkyrie Elysium on September 29th, Valkyrie Profile Lenneth was also set to release as a standalone title or as a preorder gift for those purchasing Elysium on PlayStation 4 & 5.

Now, according to an update from Square Enix, Lenneth’s launch will now be December 22 as the development team works to improve the game’s quality.

The first game in the Valkyrie series, Lenneth first released on the original PlayStation back on December 22, 1999. It featured a turn-based battle system where each character’s actions were mapped to one button and a chapter-based scenario that is heavily influenced by your decisions. Field maps also had light platforming and puzzle elements.

Valkyrie Profile Lenneth also realeased on iOS and Android mobile platforms back in 2018. Currently, a demo of Valkyrie Elysium is available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
