Front Mission 2 Remake launches June 12 on Nintendo Switch

Developed by Forever Entertainment’s Polish subsidiary Storm Trident, Front Mission 2 Remake will launch on Nintendo Switch this June 12th. The original game launched in Japan back in 1997, but never saw an international release, marking the remake as the first official localization.

The tile-based strategy RPG features mechs called Wanzers, which you deploy in combat, and can upgrade and customize with various parts that bestow certain abilities. The game features a rotating perspective between protagonists Ash, Lisa, and Thomas, as conflict breaks out on Huffman Isle 12 years after the events of the original game.

The remake will feature an improved loading speed, a free camera option that will let you zoom in during gameplay to inspect Wanzers in detail. New coloring and camouflage options as well as updated in-game effects have been developed, and the soundtrack has been rearranged as was the first remake’s soundtrack. English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Polish, Chinese, and Japanese language support is also available.
