Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia will end service on February 29th, 2024, according to an official announcement from the game’s social media channels.
The smartphone gacha-style RPG follows the motif of the other Dissidia titles, in which characters from different Final Fantasy worlds are summoned by mercurial gods, and are to do battle to restore equilibrium. Since its release in Japan in 2017, the game compiled an impressive 170 characters from across the series that were introduced piecemeal in various event banners.
The game’s combat was turn-based, and players could select actions from a list that three characters in a party could perform. It also used the signature “Brave” system that other Dissidia titles employed, where, after depleting brave points characters would be open to take HP damage.
