Final Fantasy XVI adds new chapters today with Echoes of the Fallen expansion; The Rising Tide announced for Spring 2024

New adventures for Clive and companions are coming your way starting today with a surprise announcement and release of Final Fantasy XVI‘s additional expansion content. The first of the lot, “Echoes of the Fallen”, is releasing first, with further chapters centered around Leviathan in “The Rising Tide” coming Spring 2024.

Additionally, starting today the game will allow players to purchase an Expanion Pass which offers up both DLC expansions for a discounted price. Alongside this announcement, Square Enix provided a trailer, which shows off several new locations, battles including Omega, as well as the long-awaited introduction of the eikon Leviathan.

Final Fantasy XVI launched back in June on PlayStation 5. A PC version is also currently in development and is expected to be revealed in detail at a later date. For now, the contents of the DLC expansions can be previewed below.
