In a new press release, Square Enix shares that Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince has shipped over one million units worldwide since its launch on December 1, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. The third major entry in the 25-years-running spinoff series is set in the world of Dragon Quest IV, and features one of that game’s villains as this game’s protagonist.

After Psaro is cursed with the inability to harm monsters by his father, he seeks to become a Monster Wrangler in hopes of becoming the Master of Monsterkind. There are over 500 monsters to collect, train, and battle in the game.

Square Enix is celebrating this milestone with a “Mighty Meat Platter Set” that will be available on February 1st at 9:00am Pacific through the Nintendo eShop. This free set of consumable items includes:

  • Manky Meat x 5
  • Monster Munchies x 5
  • Smoked Sirloin x 5
  • Meaty Treat x 3
  • Beastie Bites x 2
  • Better Beastie Bites x 1
