PC version of Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters updated with console features

In a new update to the PC version of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games, Square Enix has added many of the bells and whistles from the console version released in April of last year for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Version 1.1.0 includes the ability to toggle the acquisition of experience points, gil, and other resources at a higher or lower rate — or turn them off if so desired. You can also switch the background music to the original arrangements and adjust the font type to a more pixelated style.

You can also load saved data from the menu screen without returning to the title menu, and a pause button can be activated in battle where you can return to the title screen. Movement speed can now also be toggled with a key press or controller input.

Furthermore, you can now fight monsters from the bestiary based on the progress of your most recent save data – this can be done from the title menu but not in-game.

Various other title-specific updates have been added, and you can read them in the patch notes below.
