Square Enix and Life is Strange Double Exposure developers Deck Nine put on live broadcast to talk about the newest entry in the series. A sequel to the original Life is Strange, Double Exposure follows an older Max Caulfield as she navigates college life and relationships with her new friends. One of her friends, Safi, is tragically murdered, and it’s up to Max to use her supernatural powers to navigate two divergent worlds to solve the mystery.
We also learn that the game acknowledges both endings of the original Life is Strange, and that this story will continue on from either of them – it’s a new start for Max as she moves on from the events of the first game, and the team wanted to acclimate players who are starting here.
In the extended gameplay segment, we see Max and her friends stargazing on a cold winter night before tragedy strikes.
