Square Enix is offering up a new video series dedicated to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call starting today with the goal of showcasing the musical history of the Final Fantasy series. The first vignette takes a look at themes from Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III along with each game’s environments and cast of characters.

As a sequel to the original 3DS game, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call features a wealth of new content including a new Versus Mode where players can battle against each other locally or head-to-head on the Nintendo Network. The game will house around 221 songs and more than 60 playable characters – including those from some of the more recent titles like Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and classic sub-series entries like Final Fantasy Tactics.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is due out on September 16th in North America and September 19th in Europe.
