Theatrhythm Final Bar Line Review
The original Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a game that’s always been near and dear to my heart. Upon release I was captivated by the charming character design and the breadth of songs available that spanned the length of the Final Fantasy series available at the time. Then came Curtain Call and I got to experience the whimsical formula all over again, albeit with even more tracks to choose from including Final Fantasy XIV, which was just finding its feet at the time. Then came Theatrhythm Dragon Quest and even an arcade version of the Final Fantasy one. It seemed like Square Enix was keen on carving out their own little niche in this genre - even if those titles never left Japan. The latter came out in 2016 and after that? Well, there really was nothing. The Kingdom Hearts-themed Melody of Memory doesn’t really count as it’s a different format for the most part. The question then remained – was there till a place for the Theatrhythm series? Nearly a decade after the release of Curtain Call, the last proper “Theatrhythm Final Fantasy” title, we finally have our answer. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line adds tracks from The World Ends With You series on March 15
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is shoring up its already impressive track list with even more goodies starting March 15. Joining the lineup are select tracks from The World Ends With You and NEO: The World Ends With You. These tracks include Twister, Calling, Someday, Your Ocean, Breaking Free, and World Is Yours. With over 385 songs at the base level, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line has a lot to offer not only fans of the Final Fantasy series but for folks interested in NieR, SaGa and now The World Ends With You, there's a good selection to pick at. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line gets a demo on February 1
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line's release is rapidly approaching, and Square Enix is putting out a demo this week for those eager to try out the latest iteration of the rhythm action game featuring songs from the Final Fantasy series and more. The demo will release at midnight February 1st (Eastern Standard Time) on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop, and includes 30 tracks from 6 games we've listed below. Tracks come in three different types of stages: BMS, or Battle Music Stages, will have you defeating waves of enemies suited to up-tempo battle themes. FMS, or Field Music Stages, will feature field exploration music and EMS, or Event Music Stages, will have you play against the backdrop of an important cutscene from each title. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line shows off the Museum and Live Info display
In the latest round of Theatrhythm Final Bar Line information, we get a look at the Museum feature, which will let you the CollectCards you've obtained through playing the game, as well as a Live Info display, which shrinks the play area into a smaller space so that additional information can be displayed. Scheduled to release on February 16, 2023, the "rhythm action" game will launch on both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line song list revealed
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a 'grand finale' of Final Fantasy series music, compiled into a rhythm game that blends in some light RPG elements. Succeeding the original 3DS title, and following several arcade editions, Final Bar Line will feature 385 songs in the box, along with 27 extra songs in the Digital Deluxe edition. Three season passes will send out waves of music from other Square Enix titles and franchises like the SaGa, NieR, and Mana series for example. The game will feature single player and mutliplayer modes, replete with customizable ProfiCards (or 'profile cards') to deck out with unlockables. An 'endless mode' will string together songs and gradually increase their difficulty for as long as you can hold out. Below, you can check out the currently-known list of songs in the game. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line shares more gameplay styles, ProfiCards, season pass info
New information for Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, a rhythm game set to the Final Fantasy series expansive musical catalogue, highlights some new and returning features. As you unlock songs, you'll be able to freely select them in the 'Music Stage' mode, where you can toggle how each stage is sorted — by title, series and more. Favorites can be selected here and a 'Random' button will let you spin the wheel and play from your list of unlocked stages. Different modes include the standard style, but also a 'Pair Style' that will let you co-op on the same screen. One player will take the upper lane, while another player will take the lower. Additionally, there's also a 'Simple Style' which will let you play with just one button, which is handy if you want to get in on the rhythm action but directional swipes are difficult. ProfiCards, or "profile cards" have been spruced up a bit where you can view yours or others' gameplay records and customize the icon and design. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line shares an overview of its modes and features
Theathryhthm Final Bar Line is the latest iteration in the line of games that mashes up Final Fantasy series tunes with a rhythm game and RPG trimmings. Final Bar Line looks to be the definitive version to date, with 385 songs to play from across the franchise, as well as DLC from other Square Enix games. In the latest Square Enix blog, we get a look at some of the basics, returning features, and what's new for Final Bar Line. Each song will have three difficulty modes, with some songs having a new fourth Supreme difficulty level. Series quests will allow you to play through 29 series titles, unlocking new characters and playable songs. Music Stages will let you select specific songs you've unlocked. Multi Battle is the multiplayer mode, and Museum will let you casually enjoy the music and CollectaCards you've acquired. Get a look at all the features below. A new rhythm game is making its way to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo switch next year with the release of Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. Set to launch on February 16, 2023, this latest entry to the Theatrhythm series (which previously included the likes of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest) promises a new slew of songs from the Final Fantasy series. In the future, post launch content will include tracks from NieR, Live A Live and Octopath Traveler. Featuring 385 Final Fantasy tracks in the base game, Final Bar Line offers up three game modes to enjoy and over 100 characters from the Final Fantasy series that players can select to form their dream music battle party - including in local and online multiplayer modes. Digital flavors of the game include a Deluxe Edition and Premium Edition with various bonuses. The Digital Deluxe Edition promises 442 songs included, with 27 additional special songs and includes the first DLC Season Pass. The Premium Digital Deluxe Edition jumps up to 502 total songs and includes the rest of the content found in the Deluxe Edition. Theatrhythym Final Fantasy All Star Carnival trailer, Japanese release date set
Debuting during last night's Dissidia Final Fantasy stream, a brand-new trailer for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy All-Star Carnival showed off more of the game's features. Sporting over 80 songs and 60 characters, the game will launch in Japanese arcades on September 27th. There's no word yet on any other platforms for the game. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy All-Star Carnival Trailer and Release Details Revealed
Square Enix revealed at JAEPO 2016 today that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy All-Star Carnival will be headed to Japanese arcades in Autumn 2016, and has uploaded a teaser trailer with our first look at the game.
