  • Was there last year. All they had was booths full of Duscae demos which I could’ve played at home. Plus no one from SQEX even bothered to show up. But I did get a FFXV keychain, which was nice. I see they’ve upped their game this year. Wish I could attend again, but last year’s experience drained my wallet dry for quite some time and I was only there for like 3 days!

Already got a little look at Luna and Aranea in some french thing its on youtube Final Fantasy Peasant mentioned it, naturally can’t wait for more!!

  • Martian Wong

Is it just me or the adult Noctis does not look like a Japanese?

  • Many agree he becomes a white guy.

  • If they talk post game dlc quest that would be good. Maybe talk about dlc prices. Or what dlc will be free even for non-reserve buyers.

  • Traevon Chandler

He kind of has a classy Mitsurugi look…

  • stevenm281

he’s an adult on both, its just that one shows him at 20 while the other at 30.

But I understand you meant older Noctis.

  • Martian Wong

It is funny that Characters in this game can change appearance/nationality…

  • Maybe it’s a curse based on the ring he got from Luna.

  • Jesus Christ

I don’t think he’s ever fully look Japanese in the first place.

  • Yuntu

Aren´t DLC prices known? Season Pass is like what … I think 24.99$?

  • Yuntu

Not really. If they wouldn´t have adjusted the nose there is nothing really different … outside of … well the red eyes and the beard.

  • Justice V

Looks mix breed in both. Just more a bit more realistic (with the pores and blemishes), rugged and been through a lot on the right. The previous realistic youthful Noctis cg renders match up even closer to the new older Noct, not sure why they reverted 20 year old Noct to the super smooth model. The only real difference design wise besides obvious aging is the nose being a lot more prominent. However, if you look up aging features on humans ears and noses get larger as you get older while eyes and lips tend to get smaller. Do I think they took that into account? Probably not, but it is a factor that makes this transition believable.

  • I guess so. I didn’t look up on it. I just want to get info on story-based DLC for post game content. Or maybe story based DLC was quests you can do near the end. Kinda like the DLC we’re suppose to get that lets us play as Prompto, Ignis and Gladio.

  • Strabos2333

Ugh….is a dude named “Noctis Lucis Caelum” *supposed* to look like a fucking Japanese?

    Weebs these days.

  • Strabos2333

During the Versus XIII days, he looked so painfully asian that it hurt. That was one of its biggest criticisms and one of the biggest visual changes that occurred during the switch.

  • Martian Wong

Yea. He should look like a Japanese when he get older because he looked like a Japanese when he was younger.

  • Vallen

Dude, FF characters aren’t affiliated with race. There are maybe some designs that imply race, black/asian characters, but most are just generic anime models that can be interpreted as the player wants. Noct does not have an asian name and has a caucasian father. I personally also don’t see him being japanese.

  • Emorelle

Why are so many of you so driven to know everything before the game comes out?

  • Yuntu

Same question here. And when SE really shows new stuff people complain that there is no reason to play the anymore. I dun get it…

  • Martian Wong

What I am trying to say is, if he looks like an Asian/Japanese when he is younger then how did he turn into looking like a white guy. If he starts out as white and end up being white, then I have no problem with it. If he is Asian at the beginning, I expect him to stay an Asian.

  • Jesus Christ

I take it you prefer him looking more mixed? In the very very old old first CGI trailer, he his CGI model looks asian and fake, but definitely asian.

  • Strabos2333

Okay. So I guy named “Noctis” should look Japanese because, well, just because. Even though his father, named Regis, looks nothing like it.

    Someone is a Nomura fantoid.

  • Not everything. Just wanna know how much to save up for things so I’ll have the money before it even is time for the game. To me I don’t want to know story. But if it’s prices and DLC info of what to expect to play post-game, I do wanna know that.

  • Strabos2333

Technically speaking, as his name is a bunch of butchered Latin cobbled together, Noctis needs to look somewhere between Italian and Spanish. 😛

  • Jesus Christ

lol. THey had to make him look somewhat asian. He’s the representative asian in the game…. like really.

  • Martian Wong

    What is a fantoid?

  • Vallen

If that’s what he looks like to you, there isn’t much we can do about it. It’s just how you see him.
But I think most people don’t see him as an Asian, he looks white to most of us and me as well.

  • Martian Wong

I suppose. I dont know anymore. I just to play the game now….Been too long.

  • Emorelle

    thanks for the answer!
