According to a report from Enduins, the game will be set in a parallel universe to the console game and feature expansive multiplayer features. The interface will be adapted for touchscreen control, and new locales such as "The Great Pagoda" and "floating continents" will be added to expand the story and world. Originally announced in 2017 and set for a 2019 release date, industry analyst Daniel Ahmad added that the project has grown in scope and an extra development studio has been brought in for a planned global release.
