Final Fantasy XV: Comrades will release on November 15 By Chelsi Laire on November 6, 2017 at 12:26 PM

Final Fantasy XV‘s multiplayer expansion, Comrades, has finally updated its release date. This extended experience will be available for download on November 15, as reported by Famitsu. It was originally slated for release on October 31 but was delayed in order to “create the best experience possible”. Comrades can be obtained through purchase of Final Fantasy XV‘s season pass or obtained separately.

Taking place after Chapter 13 in the game, players act as survivors from the Kingsglaive working to find out more about the disappearance of Noctis. As members of Kingsglaive, players can equip various kinds of royal sigils that grant special powers from the Lucian bloodline. Other members of Noctis’s crew including Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis will be made playable in future game updates.

If you want to play with others then yes. Otherwise you can play it offline with AI.

  • NotCarolKaye

I didn’t know it had an offline mode. That’s cool of them not to totally freeze out people who don’t have Plus/Gold.

  • stevenm281

its not offline, you do require an internet connection to play Comrades, whether you’re playing solo or with people.

while its true that there are single-player quests that players can undertake, I don’t know if you can connect to the client without PS+.

Will this grant acess into insomnia?

  • Uzair Syed

They said you can play offline. The internet connection was just a beta thing to test matchmaking. You can’t really progress the single player without doing those regular missions which you can undertake offline, By the way, the game is NOT standalone in case anyone is confused. Its DLC part of the main game.

  • stevenm281

I know its not standalone, I didn’t say it was.

    Their website mentions:
to Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation®Plus. Internet connection is also
    required to access this content.”

Nowhere do they mention offline content.

During a press release, it was said to have single-player content, not offline content.

Will we be getting the 2018 roadmap at the same time? He said November

  • Uzair Syed

You may be right. I could have sword I saw a stream where PR said you can play offline with up to 3 AI. The language isn’t as clear as it could be IMO. We’ll find out in a week.

From when the beta came out:

Test Version: Choose from one of three quests, with up to three legs to each quest. All players will be matched online in the test version.
Full Version: Explore quests with storylines as well as singleplayer quests. Join up to three other players online with a subscription to PlayStation®Plus or an Xbox Live Gold membership, or fight alongside three AI companions.

There are 30 days in November, so lets be patient, but I totally get the impatience as I really wanna know what they have up their sleeve for next year.
