A brand new live letter from Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki Yoshida has been posted on the Lodestone.

Summary of the latest live letter:

• Yoshi-P confirms that gamepad support will be coming to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn beta in phase 2.

• Over 100,000 people testers are already testing A Realm Reborn. Because of this, a lot of changes have been made to the game in order to alleviate server congestion.

• Phase 1 testing will last  at least another week. Phase 2 is scheduled to start in early April.

• Another live letter from the producer is coming.

• Behests have become Guildhests, and they will be playable in phase 3.
