The oft hinted at and obvious followup to this year’s release of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is here and is launching in Japan sooner than you may think.
Announced today at Disney Japan’s first ever D23 Expo during their Kingdom Hearts stage event, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is finally a thing. Much like its predecessor it’s being packed to the brim with playable content spanning three game’s worth.
Included in 2.5 ReMIX is of course Kingdom Hearts II, Birth by Sleep and Coded – all three of which were clearly hinted at in the end credits of the original’s HD remaster. The former two will be based on their Final Mix versions – previously exclusive to Japan – while Coded will arrive in the form of HD remastered cinematics, similar to 358/2 Days.
The game is set to launch some time next year worldwide, exclusively on PlayStation 3.
