Rise of the Tomb Raider heads to PC on January 28

In a quick turn-around, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be heading to both Windows 10 PCs and Steam earlier than expected. Bumped up from its initial “Spring” timeline, the former Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive will be available for home PCs on January 28th.

Developed by Nixxes, the PC version will sport Windows 10 compatibility and up to 4K resolution.

“The PC release of Rise of the Tomb Raider continues the positive momentum from our highly successful partnership and collaboration with Microsoft for the launch on Xbox One and Xbox 360,” said Scot Amos co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics.

“PC players are a passionate, devoted audience and we know they’ll embrace the version created for their systems,” said Ron Rosenberg, co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics.

Pricing for the PC version starts at $59.99 for the digital standard edition, along with $89.99 for the Digital Deluxe edition – housed with a Season Pass that contains all current and future DLC for the game. Additionally, Square Enix has added a Collector’s Edition which includes a copy of the Digital Deluxe Edition, a 12-inch Lara Croft statue, replicas of Lara’s journal and jade necklace to be exclusively available on the company’s own e-store.
